Following the sudden death of talented young rugby player Aaron Boyce in 2005, friends and family joined together and decided they wanted to play for a team honouring Aaron’s memory.
Consisting of 10 players and a manager, The Baba’s quickly went about getting their own kit and sponsors in order for them to compete in Aaron Boyce Memorial Greater Birmingham 7’s (www.aaronboyce7s.wordpress.com)  tournament, which was also set up in Aaron’s Memory.

Following two seasons of reaching the Cup 1/4 finals, Boyce’s Barbarians have now become an affiliated 7’s side and will this season be hoping to better their previous outings and finally win some silverware.

The fact they are now an official 7’s side means the squad has increased slightly.

With the idea of touring and entering other competitions constantly being mentioned, it was decided that the Boyce’s Barbarians will venture away from home to enter the Bath 7’s at the end of June, hopefully arriving being defending champs of their own tournament, which is being held on Saturday 17th May ‘08
